Center for Family Guidance, PC believes that problems individuals and families experience cannot be separated from the context in which they occur. When we provide assistance to individuals and families we evaluate not only an individual’s or family’s treatment needs but their history, strengths and current patterns of interactions. Our approach is guided by the belief that providing individuals and families with appropriate therapeutic interventions must begin with a complete evaluation of the problems and needs that exist so that the proper course of treatment can be initiated. We have assembled a clinical team with expertise in several types of approaches to therapy which allows us to match the therapist who will best be able to meet the treatment needs of our patients. Our clinical team includes therapists who have backgrounds in cognitive behavioral therapy, family therapy, psychodynamic therapy, play therapy (for younger children) and Virtual Reality therapy. Our clinical team also includes prescribers who have a great deal of experience in treating children, adolescents and adults with psychotropic medication.
