Child/Adolescent Day Hospital programs operate Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It combines a structured treatment setting, at the core of which is intensive individual, group and family therapies, augmented by recreational and activity therapies. Increased personal responsibility and healthy adoption within the family, work, school and community are the ultimate goals for each patient.

Advantages of Partial Day Hospital:Patient continues to live at home, but comes to hospital for care

CARES Children Are Really Extra Special Our CARES program at Saint Francis Medical Center is an acute partial hospitalization program for children between the ages of 5 and 14 years who do not require inpatient care, but who cannot be managed by outpatient care alone.  Our mission is to provide high quality mental health diagnosis and intensive treatment to children who suffer from emotional and behavioral difficulties that impede their ability to function successfully in a social environment.  We operate year round, Monday through Friday, on a full day schedule. A STEP AHEAD Our holistic approach to child and adolescent mental health helps 6 to 17 year-olds find better pathways to healthy development. This Child and Adolescent Partial Hospital program is available at SJH Bridgeton Health Center.  2 levels of care are offered: full day program from 9am to 3:30pm and an after school program from 3:30pm to 7pm.  Some insurances make door to door transportation available to clients residing in Cumberland and Salem Counties. CASTLE Children Achieving Success trough Therapeutic Life Experiences CASTLE is an acute partial hospitalization program geared to help children who have severe emotional, behavioral or psychiatric disorders.  CASTLE serves children between the ages of 5 and 15 who do not require 24-hour inpatient care, but need more than outpatient care alone.  We are open year-round, Monday through Friday.  In most cases, door-to-door transportation is provided as are nutritional needs.  We offer two levels of care: Full Day, Partial Hospital: Children attend the program during typical school hours and receive a complement of intensive therapeutic and academic services. Half Day, After School Partial: Children attend the program after school and receive comprehensive mental health services.
